-People who sleep 5 or fewer hours a night put on over 2 times more belly fat than those who get an average of 6-8 hours of sleep a night.
-When coffee enters an empty stomach, it helps produce acid that can damage your stomach lining and cause indigestion.
-People who ate while listening to music consumed significantly larger amounts than those who dined in silence.
-Zelman recommends eating something small and healthy before heading to the grocery store. Another really great idea is to sit down and plan your meals for the week ahead.

-You shouldn’t eat anything right after a meal because your body gets all the sugar it needs right from your food.
-Researchers at Washington State University found that drinking water from plastic bottles can actually be fattening since bottles contain the chemical BPA.
-No matter how many meals you have a day, if you eat the last one before 8 p.m., you’ll still consume fewer calories overall.
-Plain salads made from kale, spinach, lettuce, and other leafy greens (without fattening dressings) actually help you eat less because they fill you up more.
-According to nutritionist Judy Caplan, when you eat larger portions, your body stores those extra calories as fat since it can't do anything else with them.
-There are different types of fat: brown, white, subcutaneous, visceral and belly fat.
-A good way to avoid temptation is to store unhealthy snacks in your lowest cabinet or at the back of your fridge so that they won't be at your eye level and will require more effort to get to.

Lose weight fast. This video is on how to lose belly fat, how to lose weight fast, lose weight and weight loss diet.

This weeks video is a two part episode on how to lose weight and belly fat. This episode will be focusing on dietary advice, the second episode will be focusing on exercises. I've received a lot of messages and comments to make a video on this topic and now it's finally ready. I really hope my tips help you and always remember you’re awesome!

WHAT IS BELLY FAT:
You see the problem is that fat, isn’t just the inch you can pinch known as subcutaneous fat the real danger is the fat that’s in your abdomen and surrounding your internal organs known as visceral fat. Studies have shown visceral fat puts us at higher risk of heart disease, type 2 diabetes and in women it’s even shown to increase the risk of breast cancer.

DIET PORTION SIZE EXPLAINED:
Now this diet comes from a study done in Oxford and to help participants reduce the amount they were eating, they were encouraged to measure portions based on the size of their hands.

They aimed for a daily intake of,
• Three fist-sized servings of carbohydrates (Examples: Pasta, rice, potatoes, breakfast cereals, bread, wholegrains e.g. bulgur wheat, quinoa)

• Two palm-sized servings of lean protein (Examples: Fish, meat, poultry, eggs, nuts, soya products e.g. tofu, quorn, legumes and pulses e.g. lentils, kidney beans)

• Two cupped handfuls of vegetables or salad (Examples: All kinds of green and root vegetables (not potatoes) and salad vegetables)

• Two fist-sized servings of fruit (Examples: Any fresh, frozen or fruit canned in natural juice or water)

• Two servings of fat or oil covering the tip of the thumb (Examples; Any vegetable oil, butter or fat spreads.)

Aim to have some dairy in your diet, participants could have 200ml/⅓ pint skimmed or semi-skimmed milk, or two 125g pots of natural or low-calorie yoghurt.

Please note: If you really like cheese you can have it in your diet but remember its a protein food so it should substitute the proteins servings. Please remember for cheese one serving is the size of a matchbox, little pocket sized ones not the big cooking ones.

RESULTS:
The results from the study were pretty incredible participants lost 0.5 to 1kg every week if done correctly!

But here’s the best part, after 6 weeks the study showed that each individual also reduced their,
• Dangerous visceral fat by 14%
• Cholesterol
• Blood pressure
• Had a 5cm reduction in their waistline

And this is all without any extra exercise just by using a very simple portion sizing technique.

The Military Diet is a super effective short-term food plan that claims to help you lose up to ten pounds in a week. What’s even better, you don’t have to workout and get to eat hotdogs and ice cream.

-Start your day with a cup of coffee or tea, a toast with peanut butter and half a grapefruit. Have a cup of hot coffee or tea with a slice of toast and half a cup of tuna for lunch. For dinner you should have about 85 grams of any meat, one cup of green beans, half a banana, and one small apple. You can also treat yourself with one cup of vanilla ice cream.
-Your breakfast on the second day of the diet will consist of one slice of toast, one hard-boiled egg, and half a banana. When it's time for lunch, eat one more hard-boiled egg, five saltine crackers, and one cup of cottage cheese. Your final meal for the day should include two hotdogs, a cup of carrots, a cup of broccoli, and half a banana. You are allowed to have 1/2 cup of vanilla ice cream again.
-The third and final day of your strict diet plan starts with five saltine crackers, a slice of cheddar cheese, and one small apple. Your lunch will consist of just a slice of wholegrain toast and one egg. Take a cup of tuna and half a banana with a whole cup of vanilla ice cream for dinner.
-Make it a habit to start your day with a glass of water. Find yourself a diet buddy so that you can control and motivate each other. Remember it’s always a good idea to consult your doctor before trying any new diet.

1 cup chopped broccoli
2 large eggs, beaten

1. Heat a nonstick skillet over medium heat. Coat pan with cooking spray. Add broccoli, and cook 3 minutes.
2. Combine egg, feta, and dill in a small bowl. Add egg mixture to pan. Cook 3 to 4 minutes; flip omelet and cook 2 minutes or until cooked through. Serve with toast.

Banana Nut Oatmeal Calories 310

1/2 cup old-fashioned rolled oats
1 cup water
1 banana, sliced
1 tablespoon chopped walnuts
1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
Preparation
1. Combine oats and 1 cup water in a small microwave-safe bowl. Microwave on high 3 minutes.
2. Top with banana slices, walnuts, and cinnamon.

Grilled Cheese with Turkey and Tomato 403 cal

2 slices whole-grain bread
1 slice cheddar cheese
2 ounces sliced turkey
1 slice tomato
Cooking spray

2 tablespoons low-fat ranch dressing
